Link no series to product group

Hi All,

We're using NAV 2009 R2 Classic. We're setting up items for retail stores starting with number series and grouping.

We did setup number series based on actual grouping as Item Item Category/Product Group where e.g. Accessories/Books would be as 0101 where 01 an Item Category , 0101 - Books and the first item would be 01010001.

So, when a user create an Item and select a Book number series from a No.Series list the next number as 01010002 would be created that is Ok. But, I'm wondering if there is a way to link it to a Product Group as a default setup. So, there wouldn't be any mistakes for a user as e.g. selecting 0101 that is a Book number series and setting up Product Group as a Table by mistake.
