Hi, we have set up demand forecast for an item XYZ , say 10 qty per day (from 2/21 onward) for next 30 days, coverage is requirement, running forecast/master scheduling every day say. We are planning to create SO for the upcoming days as we receive confirm from our customer.
the actual demand vary by day, as we create SO and run master schedule, AX produce the planned orders.
say, on 2/21 we have 5 SO and Run master schedule, AX generates planned order for 15 QTY, pegging both forecast demand and actual. so we go ahead and confirm planned order 5 qty. the planned order for 10 qty pegged to demand forecast remain as is at this point.
when we run forecast schedule on 2/22 and run master schedule, will AX be pegging the existing planned order to the current demand forecast of 10 qty?
My understanding is that AX doesn't take the past forecast demand into account, so it will take the current and future demand forecast plus the actual demand (off-course we need to run forecast schedule).
Is there a report that would let us see the comparison of actual demand vs forecast demand
and also the supply schedule comparison of actual vs demand forecast
