Assigning a Item Tracking code.....

Hai,

  How to assign a Item Tracking code for an Existing items ( already Ledger Entries exist) in Nav. And how to retrieve the items with Lot No's when we create the particular item for sales order from bulk of items..  any body plz explain clearly.......
