Production order cost adjsutment case

Dear all:

Hope you are doing very well.

I want to adjust the cost for specific production order using the transaction adjustment option in the inventory closing and adjustment screen , the production order date is 10/5/2013  and I have many sales orders during may,2013 month , for financial reasons , I want to post the adjustment amount at 31/05/2013 , my questions is the COGS for sales orders will be adjusted or not even the posting date of the adjustment transaction is 31/05/2013?
