Dimenson level attributes

Hi,

I am trying to evaluate Ax 2012. I am not a Dynamics expert. I am trying to understand Ax from blogs and internet search...

I have 2 questions:

1- Can I have dimension level attributes for products? e.g: I want to keep fabric composition info for color dimension for each variant and I want to keep an length info at Size dimension for each variant...

2- Is configuration dimension is a fix list? I mean, is it like: I can keep only the Configuration type? Or can I keep extra info at this dimension level e.g: BOM version No?
