hi experts, i have question regarding Security Development Tools,

Actually i want to remove all setup area for all module for all non-admin user,for this i just duplicate the existing roles and make changes on that..but the problem is the changes(deletion of duties) also effect the original roles also..means that when i delete some duties from the duplicated roles ,so the same action automatically perform in the original roles also....while i want to change only happened in the duplicated roles...please guide me

I am starting a career in MS Dynamics . I m stuck in the middle of choosing between Technical & Functional Category of MS Dynamics AX 2012.

I have a good accountancy knowledge and I m currently using AX-2009. I would like to Join the Technical Dept. Can any one tell me choosing Technical module will land me what type kind of Job. and Also Functional. I have average knowledge on Technical area but am willing to learn.

Please Could any one list out type of jobs each Technical and Functional.

Is there a way to move "questionable" bin inventory to a different bin location and have it excluded as an asset in the MRP run? For example I have (100) pieces in Bin A. (32) of these are possibly bad. I only want (68) to show as an asset. Thanks.

Hi All,

We are using CRM Dynamics 2013 (Online) and we noticed that the search functionality is not working in all overviews.

For example in the overviews "Open Opportunities" and "My Open Opportunities" and several other overviews the search functionality always returns nothing. In some other overwiews such "Open Leads" everything works normal.

Is this a known problem? And if this is not the case, what could be causing this issue?

Any suggestions are welcomed.

Hello,

Can somebody please tell me if there is a standard report / inquiry where I can filter out customer transactions that have a Transaction Status marked as "Disputed"?

Second question is - The purpose of marking a transaction as 'disputed' is to create an awareness amongst the credit collections team and as a marker against which cases can be raised. But marking a transaction as 'disputed' DOES NOT STOP normal AR functions like receiving a payment against a disputed line or marking for settlement or reversing. Am I right in this logic. Does marking a transaction as dispute 'prevent' me from actively carrying out an AR function? Any advice would be helpfuk

Below is an error that I get when I try to preview a report I just created:

The value of DELSTR parameter 2 is outside the permitted range.The current value is: -2147483648.

The permitted range is: from 1 to 1024.

I've tried debugging but don't see anything wrong.

Can someone please help me out

We recently placed credit limits on our customer accounts and we are now encountering credit hold errors when we the sales orders are being entered. For example Customer X has a credit limit of $50k. The sales order is entered for $40k and when releasing the sales order a warning comes up stating the customer is over their limit when they have no other open items on their account. In Sales and Receivables Setup we have Credit warnings set to Credit Limit. Is there something I am missing that is causing these warnings? I am using NAV 2009 6.0 R2. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

If you want to access or open eml files into outlook then can not do directly. You have to need any third party EML to PST conversion tool. There are various tool, you may use one of best Kernel for EML to PST converter. After the conversion you are able to access all eml data into outlook. This software is easy to use and don't require any technical skills. I have used many times that tool and got complete solution without losing any bit of data.

We resell products and procure same product from two different vendors. Which ever one gives a better price, we would go with that vendor based on product/quantity and special pricing/promo that each vendor may have at that time. All of them are shipped direct to end customers. So for an item (for e.g. Guitar Hero Software). We are going to treat the items as stocked. assume generally the purchase cost is $10!

$10 from Vendor A on June 2014

9 from Vendor B on July 2014

$9.5 from Vendor A on Aug 2014.

Note: the purchase cost of an item doesn't change a lot (unless we order large volume. they don't provide us upfront volume discount and in some cases we negotiate a better price).

As I look at Std and FIFO, I was thinking of going with std costing.

Question: do we need to set up costing version, cost group, calculation groups (we don't anticipate BOM but may be in the future)

What would be the better way to inventory track these item from costing perspective. Could we use a standard costing version and capture std purchase cost variance or go with FIFO

we have about approx 30 products that we sell most of the time (customer may order different products that we source from vendors).

If STD costing, Is std costing versions mandatory? what is the benefits?

If FIFO, then we need to run inventory valuation/recal eetc.,

Background: we are going to use AX 2012 R3 for year 2014 on wards given the transactions are about 300 to 500 in year 2014. (so thinking of importing/manual entry). Business is related to product resale, managed services and consulting.

We didn't use any accounting system in year 2013 (mostly excel! for tracking transactions).

Assuming Retained earnings Income from year 2013 to 2014 -> say from gross profit of $40k, after taxes, it is $25k.

Company owner injected say capital of $100k to help with cash flow on 1/1/2014. also going to assume that we have no stock as of 1/1/2015 (since all items are direct shipments to end users or should reflect some stock!).

how do we reflect the above and starting balances as of 1/1/2014?

Hi, we brought the beginning balance for the bank account as GJ entry where I selected the Bank account type, Bank, debited 10,000 and offset to a temporary account "9999"

it showed the beginning balance for the bank but I didn't realize that there was a balance remaining on the "9999".

1) how to reverse this entry?

2) how to bring the begining balance for a bank. do i need to select the bank ledger account as an offset?

la legge prevede che se l'incasso/pagamento non è stato fatto completamente entro 1 anno, l'iva sia da considerare comunque (a debito o a credito). Non ho trovato niente del genere su Nav.

I had to start from Upgrading Sql Server verions, CRM Update Rollup installations. After a lot of pain i have reached Organization Import.

->CrmService has being used for custom CRM programming.

->The Custom application folder doesn't have Web.config file.

User not able to login after Changing in permission

Hi experts,
After changing the permission of user from "SUPER" to "SM-Q/O/I/C,POST" -Post service order.User not able to login in NAV (2013R2) and get this error "You do not have the following permissions on Codeunit ApplicationManagment: Execute."(Please find attachment).Is i need to add other permission to make sure that user can login in NAV??
Any help will be greatly appreciate.
