Item on-hand AX 2009

Hello everybody.

I got case what happened in 2011. So someone need to 0 item x by counting item to 0. I not what happened but he/she problems, counting didn't work first time, so that item was counting 2-3 time with different amounts. Now reports from AX shows that item x is 0, but when you check on-hand (item details-item-on-hand) AX shows that item x have negative physical and finance value. I tried to add more by counting and in reports it works, report show that item x is 0. But when I check on-hand is shows double value. Is there any other way to 0 the value of item?

Add row to scrolling window with Visual Studio Tools?

Hello All. I have the following business requirement: If a customer orders too few of an item, they are to be charged an additional fee. The additional fee may apply to more than one line item in SOP. I would like to evaluate the quantity ordered using VST. If the quantity is too low, I would like to add a new row to the scrolling SOP window. After about a day of research and trial and error, I am nowhere. Is there any way to navigate to the last row or a new row in a scrolling window using .net/VST? Thanks.

Journal Name on Journal

Dear All,

 

I need to override the lookup of journal name on all journals. In Journal name form in setup i have a added a checkbox. The journala name for which check is true those only will appear in  the lookup of journal name in journals(AP, AR, GL). How to override the Journal name field without blocking the std functionality in ax 2012?

DataUpgrade 2015

Hi,

i've been working on this for several days now, but can't seem to find any solution. I am doing a test upgrade from NAV2009 to NAV2015, but on the Data Upgrade, I always get the error 'Choose a valid field in the Contact table'. 

The error shows up when I execute a Get-NAVDataUpgrade -ServerInstance -Detailed | Out-GridView command in the powershell, giving the FailedPendingResume state in the StartUpgrade function. 

There are a few customized fields in the Contact table, but noone where the DataType should be a problem.

EP: Applying range to the datasource of AxGridView user control based on AxLookup user control selection

Hello,

I have 2 different web parts (user controls) on a custom EP page.

The first one contains only AxLookup control, which returns filtered list of locations and binds the selection to the TextBox (typical scenario found in pretty much every tutorial).

The second web part contains only AXGridView control, which returns Items in all locations.

I know, that I can filter AXGridView's results by applying it's native filtering options, but what I would like to achieve instead is to use the value I selected in AxLookup control I mentioned above.

So what I've done now is every time the value in TextBox changes I fire webpart.FireCurrentContextChanged(), which triggers AxBaseWebPart.GetWebpart(this).ExternalContextChanged += new EventHandler<AxExternalContextChangedEventArgs>(WMSLocations_ExternalContextChanged) in AXGridView's webpart.

This line is supposed to execute the following methods, however, when I set the break point on e.DataSetRunArgs.parm = "Location1" line - it's never touched by debugger, although WMSLocations_ExternalContextChangedmethod doesn't return any errors.

NAV 2013 Upgrade: Error when running data conversion step 2

I'm currently running an upgrade of a NAV 2009 to NAV 2013. Here I'm about to run the data conversion step 2. Here the guide says to change to the local language for the company. This language is Danish. And when I then run the "Transfer Data" job in page 104002 (Upgrade - New Version) then I'm getting this error:

(Select a valid field in the table "To-Do").

If I'm running it in English (ENU) then I'm not having this error.

The "To-Do" table is NOT customized.

Unable to deploy the AX Report in Visual Studio 2010

I have developed a report and when I try to build,Rebuild,Clean all are done successfully.But when I deploy the report I am getting the following error

The current version of the visual studio that I am using is 

Microsoft Visual Studio 10.0.40219.1 SP1Rel  and Microsoft .NET Framework Version 4.5.51209 SP1 Rel

I tried on the following:

1.I am able to deploy the report from AX. But not on VS, which is the current problem that I am facing out.

2.I tried iisreset.Not resolved yet.

Kindly suggest me solutions on this issue please.

Manual Number sequence

Hi All,

 

I have one scenario Which is Already I have Number sequence in one column in a Grid(Form A). Ex : ST001
When I open the Form B the Number Sequence Column should copied to one field with some digits 

EX : ST001_001

ST001_002

ST001_003

ST001_004

ST001_005....
I already Achieve this StrSplit using "_"... If the Number Sequence got one more _ (underscore) it will be difficult...

How can i Achieve this?

Unable to get the values of (AvailOrdered) field in InventTable

Task:

I have been given the task to add a field AvailOrdered (InventSum)  in the InventTable . 

For which i wrote the method in InventTable as :

display amountmst AvailOrdered()

{

    itemid  itemid;

    inventdimid inventdimid;

    ;

    return inventsum::find(inventtable.ItemId,inventdimid).AvailOrdered;

I still am not able to get the required values from the field (availordered) .

Validatefield() method is not firing in ax 2012?

i wrote validatefield() method in table methods in ax 2012.but when cursor leaves the field it is not firing.even i put the break point in validate field method to check any error,but the method itself not firing.i have used this method many times in ax 2009 but i never got any issue.

please give me the solution

Printer file issue (Report)on ax2009

Hi Folks,

I need help on ax2009 reports .My issue bit interesting and I can 't able to find out .Here is the issue .

I am printing the sales invoice report on printer on my division (USA ) report is printing on printer the file is showing 128KB.

The same report other division different country trying to print on printer the file size is 4.42MB.It is taking 10 min time to print .

I dont know what was the problem ,where the file size increasing how to reduce the file size .

Budget upload error

Getting the bellow error message when trying to upload budget. Using the same old template which worked yesterday. Also, tried creating a new template by adding all of the required fields from the Budget register entries and Budget account entries tables (including the below fields) and keep getting the same error. None of the fields are blank when trying to upload.

Printing from Batch to different printers

I need to have pick lists print to 3 different printers depending on a type we have set in AX 2009.  

The class will run in batch so the documents will be waiting on the warehouse when they get into work.

On AX 4 I was able to add the printer names, ' example \\vis-print\it 2' in a table based on the type and process the print with no problem.  Of course this was done in a client batch.

I am using element.printjobsettings().devicename() to change printers when necessary.  No matter how I have the printer specified in the table as UNC format, AOS or basic printer name, the documents always print on the AOS default printer which is not a printer I need to use.

This class can be called in client and the print switches to the necessary printers with no problem.

Revaluation Journal - Warning message!

Hi everybody,

Actually, i am  running revaluation journal to correct the opening inventory(posted with a positive adjmt). I need to correct the unit cost for each item because it is posted zero.

When I run rev.journal the message appears"You cannot revalue individual item ledger entries for items that use the average cost method"

We are using Nav 2013 R2.

Has anyone encounter this message, if so what does it mean?

Is there any other way I can adjust the unit cost for those entries?

I tried posting a neg.admt on the opening date and enter the same positive adjmt with the exact unit costs the next date, but the negative adjmt cost was revalued with the next valuation date.

Any help would be much appreciated,
